Hear from our experts as they track this year’s Australian corporate and government progress towards a 1.5°C future.

The 2022 Australian federal election shifted the national conversation on decarbonisation, and resulted in an increase in Australia’s ambition for emissions reduction. Meanwhile, a growing number of companies strengthened their own net zero commitments as more investors globally looked to support the energy transition.

But how ambitious are the new Australian Government’s policies? Are the states and territories still leading the way when it comes to climate action? And how do current corporate emissions reduction targets compare with what is needed to limit global warming to under 1.5°C?

This webinar hosted by Alison Cleary, lead of our Sustainable Economies team, presents our latest in-depth analysis of government and corporate climate action in Australia.

Senior analyst Milad Mousavian previews our upcoming report examining the progress Australian governments have made on climate action in 2022.

Tom Wainwright, who leads our Sustainable Corporates team, and senior analyst Coral Bravo present the work Climateworks has done tracking the emissions reduction commitments of ASX200 companies and assessing them against a 1.5°C future.

These presentations are followed by a Q&A session. This event was recorded live on December 6, 2022.
