Dr Sali Bache

International Policy and Oceans Lead

Sali is the international policy lead at Climateworks, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region. She is involved in policy analysis and development, as well as impact and opportunity scoping for climate and blue carbon work in the region.

For two decades Sali has operated in an international governance setting. She has advised on common property resource conservation with several countries, represented Australia in intergovernmental negotiations, and advised organisations including UN agencies, APEC and the IUCN.

Sali has published extensively in peak journals and presented at numerous conferences. She is currently an associate of the Institute for Antarctic and Maritime Studies (IMAS) at the University of Tasmania. She has trained government agencies and taught masters level courses in natural resource governance and related international instruments.
Sali has a PhD in Public Policy from the Australian National University, and a Bachelor of Science (hons) from Monash University. She also holds a qualification in Environmental Impact Assessment.
