
Ryan Cook
Program Impact Manager
Working within Climateworks Centre’s Sustainable Finance team, Ryan oversees projects at the intersection of climate, nature, and finance, with a focus on funding the climate transition. An expert on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing, Ryan contributes to both financial and corporate sector initiatives at Climateworks.
Ryan has worked as a Senior Analyst at the Responsible Investment Association Australasia, a Stewardship Analyst at the Victorian Funds Management Corporation, and a Senior Consultant for Aurecon Carbon Markets.
Ryan also has a decade of experience working in senior analytical roles within banking, finance and agribusiness, including at BankWest, Bendigo Bank and National Australia Bank.
He has been instrumental in developing initiatives focused on climate reporting and transparency, including helping to establish the foundational working group for the Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosure (TNFD) in Australia while working at Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA).
Ryan has a Master of Environment from Melbourne University, for which he published a thesis on responsible investment in blue carbon ecosystems. He also holds a Bachelor of Agribusiness from Curtin University and a Diploma of Sustainability from Central Institute of Technology, and is an Accounting for Nature accredited expert.
