Rebecca Powell
Senior Project Manager (Cities)
Rebecca (Bec) manages the cities and infrastructure program in the Cities team. She provides a range of project management, research, policy analysis and advice to internal and external stakeholders, supporting decarbonisation across cities and the built environment.
Bec works closely with the Transport team where she manages the team’s technical modelling capability and supports stakeholder engagement and policy research to drive decarbonisation across the transport sector, with a focus on aligning city and climate outcomes.
Prior to joining Climateworks, Bec worked as a consultant on strategic transport planning projects. She contributed to many sustainable transport projects, from designing new cycle paths to mapping the transition to zero emission buses. She is enthusiastic about improving the way we live, work and play in our urban spaces, and how this can contribute to the net zero goal.
Bec holds a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering (Honours), with the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
