Rachel Lynskey

Project Manager

Rachel works within the Cities System, managing the delivery of projects to accelerate transport sector emission reductions in Australia.

Rachel has worked on projects including authoring Australia’s first comprehensive guide to reaching zero emissions in the transport sector Moving to Zero, and policy advice to embed net zero emissions pathways in key urban sectors including transport and infrastructure. She brings a practical understanding of how our cities, in particular transport networks, function, alongside an understanding of policy implications for reaching net zero emissions in the transport sector.

Prior to joining Climateworks, Rachel worked at climate advocacy organisations, building campaigns for investment in public and active transport in Melbourne and Canberra. Her passion for climate action began when volunteering with the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, including representing the youth delegation to the COP21 Paris climate talks in 2015.

Rachel is completing a Masters of Urban Planning at RMIT, and holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from the Australian National University.
