Mythili works in the Research, Analysis and Modelling team, supporting data gathering, analysis and reviewing modelling results on a range of projects.
Mythili has expertise in quantitative research, including econometrics, energy and economic modelling analysis, focusing on climate and energy policies. She is passionate about advanced modelling tools and their role in creating positive environmental impacts. During her research studies, Mythili worked with CSIRO to implement the Aus-TIMES modelling framework which was jointly developed by CSIRO and Climateworks to assess least-cost emissions reduction pathways and employment outcomes in line with the NSW net zero emissions target. She has also examined Australian and NSW government policies on the uptake of roof-top solar photovoltaic systems in the Hunter region, NSW.
Mythili holds research Masters and Bachelors qualifications in Economics from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and a Bachelors degree in Law from the Tamilnadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University. She has a PhD from the University of Newcastle (UON) on climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts on the progress of green economy transition in a regional context.
