Melissa Grimes

Senior Partnerships Adviser

Melissa works at a senior level to build organisational capability in partnership approaches and stakeholder engagement, enabling Climateworks to influence system scale change and significant emissions reductions at global, regional and national levels. 

Before joining Climateworks, Melissa developed extensive experience in the public sector in policy development across the areas of social and economic development, regional development, emergency management, and climate change. Melissa brings experience in using collaborative place-based, joined-up approaches. Earlier in her career she worked for global environmental consulting firm Golder Associates (now WSP) and in a town planning consultancy.

Melissa holds a Master of Social Policy (University of Melbourne), a Master of Environmental Systems, Markets and Climate Change and a Graduate Certificate in Planning and Management of Natural Hazards (both with University of New England), and a Bachelor of Environment Planning (Griffith University).
