Marine Dehayes
Program Impact Manager
Marine supports and coordinates the Sustainable Corporates system, whose program of work is designed to guide Australian businesses on their path to net zero. This includes research and analysis to define best practice for corporate commitments and corporate climate transition plans. They also support companies seeking to accelerate their net zero transition through training and education, including providing better understanding of issues and opportunities such as scope 3 emissions and the use of carbon offsets in climate strategy. The team also connects business with sustainable finance, and engages with governments and regulators to help them better work with the corporate sector, towards the net zero end goal.
Prior to this role, Marine was a Research and Analysis Manager at Climateworks, and before that, a Senior Project Manager.
In her Research and Analysis role within the Strategy team, Marine supported and coordinated research, modelling and analysis capabilities across Climateworks, through strategic thinking, technical support, enhanced coordination, knowledge sharing, dedicated capability building and resources creation.
As a Senior Project Manager within the delivery team, Marine managed a number of advisory and research projects and supported the development of ‘whole of economy’ long-term decarbonisation pathways for Australia. Her focus was on sustainable finance, scenario analysis and TCFD recommendations.
Before joining Climateworks, Marine was an Assistant Manager at Ernst & Young Australia. She worked within the EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team, both in France and in Australia, specialising in climate change, energy and sustainability advisory and assurance. Marine built expertise in Sustainable Development Goals, climate change scenarios and Marginal Abatement Cost Curves (MACC), as well as National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) and Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) audits, National Carbon Offset Standard (NCOS) certification and life cycle analysis.
Marine holds a Masters of Science from French engineering school, Ecole Centrale Lyon, where she specialised in Environment, Energy and Consulting.
