Lani Perlesz

Program Impact Manager

As Program Impact Manager within Climateworks Centre’s Sustainable Economies team, Lani oversees a range of projects aimed at accelerating systems change in national and sub-national economies in line with limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. For example, she oversees the Australian Climate Policy Dialogue, which supports Australian sub-national governments to deliver climate action by informing the development of long-term sustainable pathways to reach net zero.

Previously at Climateworks, Lani focused on supporting state and federal government agencies to co-invest in industrial decarbonisation solutions. Lani came to Climateworks from a career at the Australian Government, most recently as Assistant Director in the Behavioural Economics Team in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. In that role, she managed applied behavioural economics research projects aimed at better understanding human behaviour, using these insights to help solve complex environmental public policy problems. She also worked at the Department of Environment and Energy.

Lani holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Modern Languages (French) from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy from the Australian National University.
