Impact Manager – Australian policy

Katherine facilitates policy work across Climateworks Centre’s Australian projects, with a particular focus on policies that will reduce industrial emissions at scale.  

A legal and policy specialist with expertise in Australian federal policy and international environmental law, Katherine worked in environment and security portfolios for the Australian Government before joining Climateworks. Previously, she was based in the United Kingdom for several years, working with the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, ClientEarth, and contributing to Columbia University’s Sabin Center for Climate Change Law and the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s World Commission on Environmental Law.

Katherine holds a Master’s in International Environment and Energy Law from the University of Oslo and a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University. She won the Oxford University Press Law Prize in 2017-2018.
