Celina Garcia


Celina was a manager in the Food, Land and Oceans system team, leading the Land Use Futures program – a multi-year initiative developing pathways to sustainable land use for Australia. Celina also oversaw Climateworks’ Natural Capital Investment Initiative which is helping to develop tools and resources for farmers and land managers to measure their natural capital.

Celina is a sustainability specialist, bringing over twelve years of experience working in environmental research, public policy and strategy in public and not-for-profit sectors. She developed her expertise across a range of environmental issues including biodiversity, land use planning, urban sustainability, fisheries management and climate change. Celina has worked in New Zealand’s Ministry for the Environment and acted as a member of the secretariat for Pure Advantage, a not-for-profit promoting green growth opportunities in New Zealand.

Celina has a Master of Arts (Geography) from the University of Auckland.
