Sustainable Finance Lead

Cassandra brings to the table over two decades of experience in the financial services sector, encompassing domains such as global funds management, institutional and retail investments, banking, financial education, and financial product ratings.

At Climateworks, Cassandra is at the forefront of channeling investment capital towards sustainable finance endeavours across Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific region. She leads the Sustainable Finance team who specialise in both public and private climate transition finance, employing a systems-led approach to conceptualise, design and execute impactful and innovative programs within these markets. Their scope spans all facets of sustainable finance, including investments, superannuation, banking, insurance, market indices and policy.

Prior to her current position, Cassandra served as the Head of Certification and Ratings at the Responsible Investment Association Australasia. Under her leadership, she spearheaded a program that achieved global recognition as the premier standard for evaluating responsible investment products and mitigating greenwashing.Cassandra has also held roles in institutions including global investment banks, fund managers, fintech firms, ratings agencies, and consulting services.

She currently contributes her expertise as a member of the education committee for 100 Women in Finance, a global organisation committed to gender equity in finance, where she serves as the subject matter expert on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) matters. Cassandra also sits on the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) Southeast Asia Knowledge Engagement Workstream.

Cassandra’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Business in Accounting with CQ University, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment with FINSIA, and a Master of Business Administration with Queensland University of Technology.
