As the new year begins, Climateworks is excited to welcome two new senior executives to the leadership team.
Michaela Morris joins us as Head of Program Delivery (commencing February 13) and Luke Brown as Head of Engagement and Partnerships (commencing March 6).
Climateworks Centre CEO Anna Skarbek shared her delight about both of the senior appointments.
‘I’m excited about the experience that Luke and Michaela will bring to our executive team, and the valuable perspectives and expertise they’ll contribute to delivering on our mission,’ Ms Skarbek said.

Michaela hails from Ndevr Environmental, an Australian BCorp certified climate change specialist consultancy, where she led the firm’s voluntary climate action service stream. There she worked with clients in emissions intensive sectors such as agriculture, real estate, energy, as well as financial institutions. Michaela also previously worked in the Middle East with low-carbon think tank and public private partnership Dubai Carbon, heading the centre’s public programs team.
Starting his role next month, Luke joins Climateworks from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, most recently working at the Australian embassy in Jakarta as Head of Public Affairs. Luke has previously worked with the Australian Trade Commission in San Francisco leading on investment generation for renewables, and has held various diplomatic roles throughout the Indo Pacific including Samoa, Fiji and Indonesia. Luke has also worked in economic research with the Reserve Bank of Australia.
